One of the most foundational beliefs to my personal pedagogy lies within the capabilities of my students. I believe my role as a teacher is to help my students discover their own capability to learn, and find ways to highlight their strengths, interests, and prior knowledge throughout this process.

I graduated in 2022 from Saint Mary’s University, Halifax where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in English. Currently, I am enrolled in my first year of the Bachelor of Education program at St. Francis Xavier University. I have recently been elected as Secretary for the Bachelor of Education Student Executive for the upcoming school year (2023-2024).

Within education, I am particularly interested in any topics surrounding inclusion. I enjoy researching various ways to engage my students that are relevant to their individual backgrounds and creating a classroom community.
